Whistler Classic Soda has become Minnesota’s most loved craft soda. Bottled the exact same way it was in the 1950’s, Whistler truly is 1950’s soda. With superior ingredients, returnable 8oz. bottles, and huge selection of flavors, it’s no wonder that we’re one of the fastest growing craft soda companies in the region. But our success wasn’t easily earned, there’s been many challenges along the way to Minnesota’s favorite local craft soda companies.
The Whistler Classic Soda bottling facility is in Spring Lake Park, MN. The bottling facility is now located in a building connected to Blue Sun Soda Shop. Blue Sun is the largest craft soda store in Minnesota and proudly carries over a thousand flavors and styles of craft sodas from around the country and around the world. The bottling facility wasn’t always located in Spring Lake Park, but it was necessary to allow new growth. And boy have we been growing lately!
In 2016, both Whistler Soda and North Star Craft Soda were purchased by entrepreneur Mark Lazarchic along with the 1952 Crown, Cork and Seal Dixie Model F bottling line necessary to make craft sodas in small batches by hand (pictured below), the way it was done decades ago. That’s one of the key secrets to our authentic 1950’s soda; we use the same methods, equipment, and ingredients!
Moving forward, you can expect new exciting flavors from North Star Craft Soda. As a premium line of craft sodas, we pride ourselves on formulating exciting new flavors that we perfect over time, so please be patient while we craft our magic. From everyone at North Star Craft Soda, raise a bottle and enjoy everything that the north has to offer!
